Been a while since I posted anything, I've been having a little holiday from my beading and other things. It was my Birthday last Saturday and I thought you might like to see the great Beer Glasses my friend bought me
To say I'm having an amazing time is pretty much not really getting it. Firstly I must tell you about my hotel. It's not a 5 star luxury place as I really don't feel comfortable in those type of places but a little boutique type I have a standard double room with on suite very comfortable but what makes this place is the staff! Each one I've met have been so Welcoming and courteous can't do enough for you. All love to hear your story and when I got back from my travels today wanted to hear what I'd done and where I'd been. I'm sure that they have heard it all before but chatted away with me like old friends. If you should be coming to Liverpool do yourselves a favour and book into The Z Hotel on North John Street! This is my April page for the BJP. I was inspired to do this one because of a song written and sung by my friend Adam Dwyer. If you go to his site http://www.my space.com/platypus25 you can hear the song in question. "Walk on Cherry Shoes" is one of my favorites.
It was time to say Goodbye to Sarah and David - Dawn's parents who had kindly put us up for a couple of days. We headed of to explore Cardiff but started off with elevenses at Pettigrew Tea Rooms in Bute Gardens beside Cardiff Castle. Studding the menu Souvenir shopping was on the agenda followed by all the sights. Lots of the old buildings have been remodeled but some of the façades have been retained. I think I've mentioned that it's school holidays over here so it's busy but nothing I can't handle and very colourful. Now this building had been changed quite a bit but you can see the old bldg underneath The Beatles played 3 concerts here, one each year in 1963,1964,1965 It was The Capital Theatre back then. In the shopping precinct After checking in for coffee it was back to Cheddington and a light dinner the off to the pub across the road for a couple of drinks before bed. Oh yeah the pub across the road is The Three Horseshoes.
