Sister Four

It's been all I imagined  and more. Wish I had done this year's ago but as "they" say better late than never. Had a relaxing lazy morning just like at home only things missing were the sun and Marion and Mardi. Strolled up to Lime St Station did a reckie for the train trip tomorrow, more shopping found clothes I loved at Marks and Spencer also had lunch in the cafe there. I've been lucky enough to meet some really nice people here and one lady I must sing the praises of is Nicola, she works at  a caravan cafe on Albert Dock right near where the tour buses pick up. I first met her on Tuesday when I enjoyed a cuppa and a buttie in the sunshine. We were chatting whilst she served me and got on like a house on fire. I also discovered that Nicola has a Cavern connection her Aunt is Beryl Marsden! Had a fairly quiet morning ventured to the Post Office to send some souvenirs home, so I can buy more! After lunch I walked to the Liverpool Cathedral, my tourist guide here at the hotel told me about the gardens and I had to see for myself, so glad I did.                                          https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_James_Cemetery This explains it so much better than I could. On the way back I also passed The Palace And every city has one Chinatown After dinner took myself for a drink to The Hard Days Night Hotel, it's all very glitzy and glamour, the bar attendant needed to go back to customer relations lessons, I'm sorry I couldn't understand your accent but talking quicker just didn't help! Went off wandering this morning, with a vague idea of a destination. Along the way I came upon some interesting places. Firstly The Blue Angel Nightclub.  A Beatle related site read the history of this place here  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Angel_(nightclub)  Not much further I came across this place, great name! There are lots of places here using rock & roll type connections. Today I went to the second part of The Beatles Story at Pier Head, here they have The British Invasion, The Beatles Hidden Gallery and Fab 4D. Not quite as good as the exhibition yesterday but interesting nonetheless. No I didn't try it but you can have a drum lesson with Ringo Lots of interactive things like that. The Hidden Gallery was good photos of the boys taken during the early days and not seen by the public till 2010 when they were donated to the Beatles Story. They are limited edition prints available for sale, sadly only two of John, but lots of Paul and group shots so no didn't buy one! Next up was Fab4D which is a movie goes for about 15 mins and brilliant. You get splashed with water, tickled by an octopus and bumped around. Lots of fun too!
