I'm Still Standing

It's been awhile since my last post but then life has a way of catching up with you. As John Lennon once noted -
"Nobody told me there's be days like these, strange days indeed, most peculiar Mama".

I've been working on the BJP08, making earrings,bracelets and also went to see "My FairLady" at the Theatre Royal last month.

It was a great show but not really my cup of tea. Richard Grant was very good but I really loved Nancy Hayes as Professor Higgins Mother, she to me, was a standout.

Looking forward to seeing Steel Magnolias in June next year, it's playing at the Seymour Centre in Chippendale.

And So it's nearly Christmas so time will fly even faster now as we head into the 'silly season'.
I've noticed that once Melbourne Cup Day is past everything just seems to go haywire!

I'm not a political person but I must congratulate Barack Obama on winning the US Election.
Hopefully he can bring some sanity to world events

Congrats on giving up the cigs... Yes, I totally remember (even though it was back in 1968) how difficult it is to quit and how it changes so many things, because of all the "triggers." I hope you'll be back on line more regularly soon. Maybe you'll even show us some "in progress" pictures of your Sept, Oct, and Nov. BJP pieces??? Thanks for the good thoughts about Obama... I am very happy about our new president elect and for the first time in ages have optimism about the future of our country and the world! It's putting an imense burden on his shoulders, but I think they are broad enough.

I have been beading......

and here is the latest - not for the BJP - but a pressie for my bestest friend for Christmas. As she hasn't a computer I know it will not spoil the suprise putting it here for you to peruse. She is the Eeyore to my Tigger, she helps keep me grounded when I go bounding all over the place! And for this I give much thanks! My BJP pages are coming along nicely thanks and Yes in a few days time I will post what I have achived in the first quarter. I have finished September and October and November a doing well also. The Beatles Story Part 2

Today I went to the second part of The Beatles Story at Pier Head, here they have The British Invasion, The Beatles Hidden Gallery and Fab 4D. Not quite as good as the exhibition yesterday but interesting nonetheless. No I didn't try it but you can have a drum lesson with Ringo Lots of interactive things like that. The Hidden Gallery was good photos of the boys taken during the early days and not seen by the public till 2010 when they were donated to the Beatles Story. They are limited edition prints available for sale, sadly only two of John, but lots of Paul and group shots so no didn't buy one! Next up was Fab4D which is a movie goes for about 15 mins and brilliant. You get splashed with water, tickled by an octopus and bumped around. Lots of fun too! After a nice stroll along the waterfront  I arrived at The Wheel of Liverpool - very impressive, and The Echo Arena, but there is another Hidden gem here  The European Peace Monument
